Shelby Hall, granddaughter of off-road racing legend Rod Hall, has announced the formation of her first independent race team set to compete in the upcoming NORRA Mexican 1000.

Paying homage to the partnership between Ford Bronce and Bill Stroppe with a Stroppe-inspired livery, Hall's team will be the first independent team to debut and compete with the Ford Bronco DR. Hall will race under the Shelby Hall Off-Road banner.

Stroppe's collaboration with Ford led to several victories in the late '60s and early '70s, including Rod Hall's win in the 1969 Mexican 1000.
